Windows Explorer shows information such as Date Created and Date Modified. However, that information is not 100% accurate - see this article for more details.
This is where using document properties can be used to fill in the gap. Whilst some of it is viewable using Windows Explore, not all of it is. For example, only basic data can be viewed for MSG files.
Both Filecats Professional for Windows with Excel and Filecats Metadata for Windows without Excel can be used to import this data for folders, files and subfolders. However, if you want to see this data for just one file, Filecats Properties can be used.
By right-hand clicking on a file and selecting "Filecats Properties", a table is created showing the same document properties which the other two use.
